Activity

Visit Tenryuji Temple and its UNESCO-certified garden.

A guide who is knowledgeable about Arashiyama will take you through the famous bamboo forest.

You can enjoy Kyoto specialty cuisine with a view of the famous Togetsu-kyō Bridge.

  • Walk around Seiryouji Temple and Saga Toriimoto Preserved Street.

    Seiryouji Temple was originally the villa of the Emperor's son, but it became a Buddhist temple in 987. The word "Toriimoto" means "around the torii". The area is lined with historical buildings and restaurants. The temple was designated as an important preservation area in 1979.(Please present the My Page reservation screen at the reception.)

  • Visit Jojakkoji Temple.

    This is a Buddhist temple of the Nichiren sect with over 200 maple trees, perfect for viewing the autumn leaves. You can see the whole of Kyoto from the top of this temple.

  • Bamboo Forest and Tenryu Temple.

    Tenryu Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Togetsukyo Bridge.

    Togetsukyo Bridge has been a favorite landmark of Kyoto's Arashiyama area for over 100 years. The scenery changes with the seasons, especially the cherry blossoms in spring and the colored leaves in autumn.

  • Lunch at the Yoshiya Inner Garden.

    You can enjoy Kyoto-style tofu, buckwheat noodles, shichimi, etc.
