Many of the fortresses that are dotted around don't have signs and are difficult to get to without a guide who is familiar with the area.

One of the few in Hakodate, their experienced guides who have traveled the world will take you to fascinating and lesser-known places.

This is a rare mountain in Hokkaido that can be climbed throughout the year. The slope is gentle, so you can easily enjoy the walk.

Schedule

  • Meet in front of Hakodate Ropeway Sanroku Station

    Please present the My Page reservation screen at the reception.

  • Start hiking from the trail.

    The guide will take you to 3 fortresses (possibly 2 depending on the group's walking speed).

  • 20-30 minute restroom/snack break on the way

  • Descend the mountain

  • Disband at the Hakodate Ropeway Sanroku Station
