Enjoy a leisurely afternoon tea unique to Koga City in a historic building nationally designated as a Tangible Cultural Property.

Matcha (powdered green tea) experience in Japan's largest peach blossom garden

Visitors can enjoy an authentic matcha experience in a setting inspired by the peach blossom garden.

Walking around Koga city with a local guide

During the Edo period (1603 - 1868), Koga thrived as a post town, and even today, you can glimpse its historical charm through the preserved samurai residences, temples, and shrines. Why not take a stroll with a guide? An original map is included.

Seal-engraving experience at Japan's first seal carving art museum

Tenkoku is the ancient art of seal carving, where characters from over 2,000 years ago are engraved into stone. The museum showcases works by both local and historical artists from around the world.

Schedule

  • [Day 1] 10:20 AM - 1:30 PM: Meet at Koga Station, register, and take a walk around the city

    Please show the My Page reservation screen to the Koga Tourism Association staff at the reception desk located in front of the Koga Tourist Information Center, just outside the ticket gates of Koga Station.

  • [Day 1] 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM: Seal-engraving experience, visit to the Seal Carving Art Museum

    All the equipment you need will be provided, and you can take home your completed piece as a memento of your trip.

  • [Day 2] 10:40 AM - 1:50 PM: Change into a kimono at Oyasumi-dokoro Sakacho and enjoy the Peach Blossom Festival and matcha tea experience at Koga Kubo Park

    Be sure to take a photo in your kimono against the perfect spring backdrop of 1,700 flowering peach blossom trees as a memento of your trip. If you get hungry, sample the local delicacies at the food stalls inside the venue!*A round-trip taxi ride is available between Oyasumi-dokoro Sakacho and Koga Kubo Park.

  • [Day 2] 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Enjoy Peach Flower Afternoon Tea at Oyasumi-dokoro Sakacho

    Enjoy afternoon tea, created by the owners of Koga's Japanese confectionery shops, western confectionery shops, bakeries, and cafes, paired with Sashima tea.

  • [Day 2] 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM: Change your clothes at the end of the activity

    The activity will end once you have changed back into your own clothes at Oyasumi-dokoro Sakacho (around 4:00 PM)

[Notes]
• Lunch is not included on either day. On the first day, the guide will suggest a place to have lunch if you wish. On the second day, afternoon tea will start around 2:00 PM, so please have a light meal while viewing the peach festival.
• When wearing a kimono, please be sure to wear your own undergarments (with a wide neckline)
• Hair and makeup are not included, so those with long hair should tie their hair up in advance.
• The accommodation at Hotel Sansui will provide single or twin rooms. We will prepare rooms according to the number of people applying as shown below.
 (For 1 person: 1 single room / for 2 people: 1 twin room / for 3 people: 1 single room and 1 twin room / for 4 people: 2 twin rooms)
