Features of Arima Onsen
Arima Onsen is one of the three oldest hot springs in Japan, dating back to prehistoric times, and is also famous as a hot spring resort loved by the feudal lord Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Blessed with easy access by train, bus, and car, it only takes an hour from Osaka and is well known as the "inner sanctuary" of the Keihanshin region. The hot spring resort area is also characterized by a wide variety of restaurants and souvenir stores. You can enjoy two types of hot springs: the reddish-brown iron-containing salt springs known as "Kinsen" and "Akayu," and the colorless radium springs known as "Ginsen." These two types of health rehabilitation hot springs contain many different minerals and are of a quality that is hard to find in the world.
