Features of Dogo Onsen
Dogo Onsen is one of the three oldest hot springs in Japan. Its symbol is the Dogo Onsen main building built in 1984. The building itself and the large bathing areas give off a very retro atmosphere and have been the concept and setting for many movies. There is also a shopping street in the Dogo Onsen town, where souvenir stores and restaurants line the streets, and where guests in yukata can enjoy a stroll after bathing. The Shiki Memorial Museum and Dogo Park are also nearby and are recommended for sightseeing.
