Features of Ginzan Onsen

Ginzan Onsen is a famous hot spring resort that is very popular among Japanese and overseas visitors. It has a "Taisho romantic" atmosphere reminiscent of the Taisho period (1912-26). The area becomes even more romantic at night as the streets are illuminated with gas lamps. In addition to the hot springs, local delicacies such as soba noodles and Obanazawa beef can be enjoyed. Each inn has a unique and quaint appearance, and you'll forget the time as you walk along the streets. It takes 3 and a half hours from Tokyo Station to Oishida Station on the Yamagata Shinkansen, and from there it takes 30 to 40 minutes via a hotel shuttle bus or local bus to Ginzan Onsen.
