Features of Ikaho Onsen
Ikaho Onsen has been a popular hot spring resort since the Manyo period (710-794), and the staircase here is its centerpiece. It is recommended to take a stroll through the town that emanates a nostalgic Taisho Romanticism atmosphere. You can enjoy Mizusawa udon here, one of the top three udon noodles in Japan, as well as Yunohana manju, the original onsen manju. From Tokyo, there is a direct express bus service from Shinjuku Station which takes about two and a half hours.
