Osaka's Kaiyukan is one of the world's largest aquariums!

Be astounded by the gigantic whale sharks swimming around an enormous tank and enjoy a brush with nature!

See, hear, and touch living creatures at the New Interactive Exhibit Area.

You can get closer to the animals in this new sensory area. The area is divided into two zones: the Falkland Islands Zone, where southern rockhopper penguins can be seen jumping on rocks and swimming in the water, and the Arctic Circle Zone, where ringed seals greet visitors.

The photogenic "Kurage Ginga" is very mysterious♪

In the shadows, jellyfish's transparency sticks out. They appear to be hovering in space as they move through the pitch-black room. It is fascinating to observe the mysterious universe.

[About Kaiyukan]
One of Japan's most impressive aquariums, Kaiyukan is known internationally for its creative presentation. Kaiyukan exhibits aquatic creatures from the Pacific Rim in their native habitat in order to display them in their most vivid and vibrant state.
More than 15 tanks, each representing a different area of the Pacific Rim, can be found at Kaiyukan. With tanks like "Japanese Forest," which simulates a lovely, sun-drenched Japanese forest, and "Antarctica," which is covered in ice and snow, visitors can take a virtual journey of the Pacific Ocean. The centerpiece of the aquarium, "Pacific Ocean," is 9 meters deep, 34 meters long, and has a 5,400-ton water capacity. "Japanese Forest," "Antarctica," and "Pacific Ocean" serve as the aquarium's representative exhibit. The biggest marine species in the world, whale sharks, are also available to visitors.
