A Japanese ryokan located at the base of Mikuni mountain path, surrounded by a valley. The hot spring source was found by a famous monk Kobo Daishi.

Established in 1875, Chojyukan is all wooden Japanese ryokan. Large bath was built in 1895 in Rokumeikan (a social salon in Meiji era) style. The bath uses rain and snow fallen 60 years ago which is gushed out directly from the underground so that effective ingredients can be efficiently absorbed in human bodies.
