Held at the Fuji Motosuko Resort in Yamanashi Prefecture, part of the Fuji Five Lakes area, the Fuji Shibazakura Festival showcases vast fields of shibazakura, known as moss phlox in English. Taking place from April 14 to May 26, 2024, the festival showcases around 500,000 stalks of shibazakura in pink, white, and purple hues. Covering an expanse of 1.5 hectares, the festival features seven varieties of shibazakura, sprawling like a vibrant carpet before you, with Mount Fuji towering in the backdrop.
Lake Motosu, one of the Fuji Five Lakes, is a prime spot for capturing stunning photos of Mount Fuji. If you visit on a clear day, you might be able to see a mesmerizing reflection of the majestic mountain on the lake's surface.

After visiting the Shibazakura Festival, take a stroll in the adjacent Peter Rabbit English Garden, inspired by the famous British children's book series by Beatrix Potter.
With 300 different plant and flower varieties, you will be transported into the charming world of Peter Rabbit, complete with cute statues of animals like frogs, ducks, and rabbits.
