Activity

You can enjoy cycling freely through the historical spots and nature of Minamiaso while gliding up the steep hills on an electric-assisted E-bicycle.

A self-guided cycling route. Once you take some inspiration from the introductory video, connect the spots you want to visit drawn on the My MAP from the white map / QR code, and ride around on your own original route on the e-bike.

The village has a variety of spots including Yasaka Shrine with a sacred 300-year-old tree, an underground water sourced spring, and a charming road that goes through the rice paddies are all freely accessible by bike.

Please enjoy discovering and experiencing the charms of Minamiaso, including roads inaccessible by car, various views of the outer and inner rim of the mountains, spring water selected as one of the "100 Best Water" in Japan, crops obtained through circular agriculture, which has been designated a World Agricultural Heritage, blessings of the mountains and the land, cultural and sacred sites, and more!

Along the way, you will find many stylish local bakeries, cafés, and vegetable stands, where you can take a break while experiencing the nature of Minamiaso♪
