Activity

While the trek is full of adventure, you can feel safe as you are led by an experienced guide♪

Visitors can enjoy nature, from hiking on thrilling steep trails using rope and chains, and feel the mysterious energy of the sacred "Men-no-Ishi."

You can take great pictures at the sacred cave with a cat-like silhouette♪

After the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake, the "Men-no-Ishi" rock that was once stuck in the air between two sides of the cave fell down and the new silhouette of the cave is said to look like a cat. The "Men-no-Ishi" is like the cat's bell, and following the fall it looks as if the bell around the cat's neck has been removed. It is a mysterious place where the silhouette of a cat appeared.

You can enjoy a sense of accomplishment from trekking up the slopes with a spectacular view of the Mt. Aso caldera in Minamiaso!

Enjoy the spectacular views from the observation points along the course.

  • Relocate to the entrance of the "Men-no-Ishi" trekking route and start the adventure trek.

    After passing through this magical place where you can feel the power of the earth and nature, you will arrive at the final destination, a spectacular view point in Minamiaso with a cave in the shape of a "maneki-neko," a lucky cat that beckons happiness.

  • Break at the observation point

    Take a break at the observation point overlooking the Aso Caldera.

  • Descend the mountain / End of tour

    The return trip will be a gradual descent on a different course and the group will be dismissed.
