Activity

Enjoy looking at colorful and realistic-looking paper insects from Japan and around the world!

The "Paper Insect Museum" displays a wide variety of lifelike paper insects, including butterflies, dragonflies, and beetles, many of which look like paintings.

Paper-cutting demonstration of the insect of your choice! You can also try your hand at paper cutting your favorite insect while being taught by a "Kamikiri" master.

Learn from the masters how to make paper lucky insects, such as dragonflies, which are called "winning insects" in Japan.

The finished insects will be handed over together with a paper pattern specially made by the museum director, Mr. Minami!

You can enjoy making paper-cut insects at home since we have paper patterns available. We hope you have fun making them at home too!
