Activity
A canyon charing tour to experience the clearest stream in Tokyo!
The activity of "canyon chairing" enables visitors to sit in a chair at specifically chosen canyon enjoyment locations and take their time to enjoy the feeling of being surrounded by nature.
Traveling by electric bicycle does not require any physical strength, and anyone can enjoy it leisurely.
You will ride an electrically assisted bicycle to the best canyon spots. Slowly cycle along the country roads along the valley.
Fully appreciate the valley by enjoying exquisite Bentos (boxed lunches) prepared with regional ingredients.
You'll remember this lunch forever thanks to the unique setting!
Recommended for those who want to spend time in the best spots without being pressed for time
The timetable gives you plenty of time to unwind and spend time in the valley, allowing you to forget about your busy daily routine and rejuvenate yourself in nature.
The afternoon is open for bicycle exploration! Additional guided tours are offered as an option.
Cycling and a visit to the largest giant cedar tree in Tokyo, a village locally called "Hana-no-sato" (flower village) + footbath at a hot spring can be added to the full course for an additional fee.
Schedule
10:00 AM Meet-up/Reception (Tokyo Ura-yama Base in front of Musashi Itsukaichi Station)
Please present your My Page reservation screen at reception. We will explain the itinerary and how to operate the bicycles. If you have any unneeded luggage, you can leave it at the store until you return.
10:20 AM Start cycling!
The guide will take you to the chairing spot while showing you the most beautiful spots in the Akigawa Valley at that time of the year.
12:30 PM Head down to the bottom of the canyon to assemble chairs for canyon chairing!
After spending some time relaxing and listening to the river's sound and touching the water, participants can eat lunch (a bento box) by the river.
Free time in the afternoon!
After lunch, you will be separated from your guide and free to explore the rich nature of the Akigawa Valley by bicycle while looking at a map. Please return the bicycles by 5:00 PM.
Optional afternoon tour can be added for a more fulfilling day!
You can visit spots locally known as "flower villages" and experience a footbath at the popular hot spring Akigawa Valley Seoto no Yu.
