Activity
Tokyo has beautiful valleys and unchanged Satoyama landscapes.
On a special cycling trip led by a knowledgeable guide, discover the natural attractions of Tokyo that you might not be aware of.
Riding an electrically assisted bicycle doesn't require any special athletic fitness! Anyone can cycle easily and leisurely!
Whether you stop by a temple with traditional architecture or go down to the riverside to experience the crystal clear river, the scenery keeps changing and you will never get bored!
Lunch at a renowned restaurant, Togura Shiroyama Terrace, which was formerly a primary school! Enjoy the local traditional sweets.
For lunch, choose from several standard menu items, including a set meal of grilled river fish unique to the area. You will also have Oyaki a local sweet, at the most popular canyon cafe in the area.
You won't believe you're in Tokyo! Explore uncharted areas through river trekking
You will be aiming for a hidden waterfall that can only be accessed from the river while wearing special waterproof clothing and shoes over your regular clothes.
At the end of the activity, participants can enjoy a footbath at the popular hot spring Seoto no Yu!
The hot spring has a reputation for smoothing the skin and is a great spot to unwind and forget about time.
Schedule
10:00 AM Meet-up/Reception (Tokyo Ura-yama Base in front of Musashi Itsukaichi Station)
Please present your My Page reservation screen at reception. We will explain the itinerary and how to operate the bicycles. If you have any unneeded luggage, you can leave it at the store until you return.
10:20 AM Start cycling with electric bicycles!
The most picturesque areas of the Akigawa Valley will be shown to you while cycling slowly with a guide.
12:30 PM Lunch at Tokura Shiroyama Terrace, a restaurant renovated from an abandoned school
This Japanese-style restaurant offers several menu items, including river fish, curry, and tempura.
River Trekking. Aiming for a secret waterfall with a guide.
Venture further into the canyon while walking in the stream.
Cycling along the river to the hot springs. Relax in the footbath.
We will take a local bus back to the starting point, Tokyo Ura-yama Base.
