Let's cook Japanese homestyle cooking at an ordinary home in Miyama, Kyoto!
Cooking activities are available in Miyama in Kyoto, known for Miyama's thatched-roof village (Kayabuki no Sato) where houses with thatched roofs stand side by side.
Taste the flavor of Japanese home cooking
We collaborate with locals to make home-cooked dishes "just like grandma used to make" rather than restaurant menu items.
You can also learn some cooking tips.
Japanese home-style dishes such as Temari-zushi (ball-shaped sushi) and Tamagoyaki (Japanese Rolled Omelette) are prepared.
Enjoy chatting with the locals while trying the dishes you made!
This experience is perfect for those who want to enjoy not only sightseeing but also interacting with locals while traveling.

Schedule
Reception at Kyoto Tamba Kogen Quasi-National Park Visitor Center. Please present the My Page reservation screen at the reception desk.
The staff will explain how to get to the house where the activity will take place.
Travel to the house where you will have your cooking activity. First, please introduce yourself.
It takes about 15 minutes by car from the Visitor Center.
Cooking activity
Participants will make Japanese home-style dishes such as temari-zushi (ball-shaped sushi) and Tamagoyaki (Japanese Rolled Omelete).
Lunch time
Enjoy the exquisite obanzai dishes and the dishes you have made.
