Wear Ryusou, traditional Okinawan costumes, and capture memorable photos!

Make lasting memories at Nakijin Castle Ruins wearing the traditional Ryusou, also known as Uchinā sugai, in the Ryukyuan language.

Ryusou= Traditional costumes of the Ryukyu Kingdom

The Ryusou is also a traditional local costume in present-day Okinawa. During the experience, visitors can don these outfits and capture stunning photos at scenic beaches and other locations.

Visit the castle ruins and experience its historical significance

During the 14th century, Okinawa Island was divided into three regions known as Sanzan: Hokuzan, Chuzan, and Nanzan, each ruling the northern, central, and southern parts of the island. Nakijin Castle served as the stronghold for the Hokuzan Kings, who governed the northern region and engaged in trade with China.

  • Reception

    Please present the My Page reservation screen at the reception desk.

  • Costume selection

    Select a kimono to wear.

  • Dressing

    Please come to the store wearing undergarments, as the kimono will be worn over them.

  • Take photos

    A one-hour photo session will be held at the Nakijin Castle Ruins. (Our staff will take photos)

  • Change clothes

    The experience ends once you change back into your own clothes.

Included in the Fee

Women: Bingata costume (includes Juban (undergarment), Suteteko (underpants), Tabi socks, Nibushiki (two-piece attire), hair ornament, and straw sandals)
Men: Nagagi kimono (includes Juban (undergarment), Suteteko (underpants), Tabi socks, Obi (sash), Hachimaki (hat), and straw sandals) *You can choose according to your height and body shape.
Photos will be taken by our staff, includes transportation to and from the castle ruins

• In the event of inclement weather, the experience may be canceled after the reservation is made. If this occurs, WAmazing Play Customer Support will contact your emergency contact after 3:00 PM on the day prior to the event.
• Costumes will be worn over your undergarments.
• There is a separate fee of JPY 3,000 (cash only) that will be paid on-site at the castle ruins.
*Due to the application process, we kindly ask that you make a reservation at least 10 days in advance.
• Our staff will assist with taking photos, so please bring your own smartphone or camera for photography purposes. * Please note that our staff are not professional photographers. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.
