Experience making finishing touches to a Kiri Tansu (paulownia wood chests), a traditional craft from Kasukabe, Saitama Prefecture

Kasukabe paulownia wood chests were sold in high-end department stores in Japan. You can try out experiencing making finishing touches to a miniature chest of drawers.

The color after completion will vary depending on the method you use for the finishing touches.

Since it uses natural clay, the color changes depending on the weather, dryness, and base preparation, allowing you to create your one-of-a-kind miniature chest of drawers.

Once completed, it can be used for a wide variety of purposes, including storing small items and accessories.

The unique soft color will blend in with any room. It is airtight and can protect stored items from dust.

Made from 100% natural Japanese-grown paulownia wood.

The miniature chest of drawers made from natural Japanese paulownia wood is so sophisticated that when you put one drawer in and take it out, the other drawers move.

    When you enter through the gate, the office is on your right. Please present the reservation screen on My Page at reception. Place your belongings and move to your work space.

  • Start the experience

    After moving to the work space, everything from the experience to packaging will be done in the work space.

    Using specialized tools, we use the same techniques as craftsmen to create a beautiful finish on the surface of the wood.

    After attaching the metal fittings to the drawer, the miniature Kiri Tansu is completed. Pack it up and the experience is over.

・It is convenient to come by bus.
From the East Exit of Kasukabe Station, take the bus bound for Toyono Kogyo Danchi → Get off at the "Kominkan-mae" stop → 1-minute walk
*Bus ride time is approximately 15 minutes. There may be delays depending on road conditions, so we recommend that you allow plenty of time.

・It may be difficult to work with people with long nails. Please join us with your nails trimmed short.
・Children under 12 years old must create one set with a parent or guardian.
