Activity
Take traditional dance lessons in a kimono.
You will learn how to perform and entertain, and you will be able to dance to one song.
Photo session
While enjoying wearing a kimono, you will have your picture taken by a professional photographer at Sumire Photography Studio.
Enjoy walking around town in a kimono
Capture your memories in photos while strolling around Ureshino Onsen. You can choose your favorite course from two courses. (The town course with a view of the hot spring village / The temples course where you can experience history and culture)
Men can also participate in the activity.
About the Ureshino Traditional Arts Center
The purpose of this activity is to preserve the cultural tradition dance including the Japanese wigs, white make-up, and a long-sleeved kimono, which has been passed down through generations in Ureshino Onsen. This traditional performing art, rich in local heritage, is aimed to be promoted both within Japan and internationally. Additionally, the activity seeks to cultivate new generations of artists to carry on this unique art form.

Getting dressed in a kimono (20 min.)
Change into a full-fledged kimono. *No white face paint.
Photo shoot (30 min.)
A professional photographer will take a commemorative photo of you in a kimono at the photo studio next to Sumire Photography Studio.
Traditional Japanese dance activity (40 min.)
Try Japanese dance with your instructor! Enjoy Japanese dance together.
Enjoy walking around town in a kimono (30 min.)
Local staff will introduce photogenic spots that retain the Japanese atmosphere!
