Activity
Admire the fantastic and majestic Hachigo-Kiri (sea of clouds)
The best time to visit is around 7:00 AM in the morning around April and October to December. If you prepare before dawn and wait at the viewing spot, you can see the fantastic fog moving against the rising sun.
Landscape unique to the topography of the Yoshino River basin
The sight of the mountain peaks scattered amidst the pure white sea of fog that stretches along the Yoshino River, with fog appearing sporadically along the river, is truly a must-see.
Seeing the Hachigo-Kiri (sea of clouds) depends on the weather, the season, and the luck of the day!
Hachigo-Kiri (sea of clouds) tends to occur a few days after rainfall and on days when clear, sunny skies are expected.
A local driver will take you by taxi so those staying in the Oboke-Iya area can feel at ease.

Guided tour to the Hachigo-Kiri viewing spot
After boarding the taxi at the accommodation facility in the Oboke-Iya area designated as the pick-up point, we will guide you to the Hachigo-Kiri observation spot.
View the Hachigo-Kiri (sea of clouds)
If you wait at the viewing spot before dawn, you can see the Hachigo-Kiri.
Board the taxi again and disembark at the designated accommodation in the Oboke-Iya area.
Please have a safe trip back home.

Notes
• A chartered taxi will be arranged for each reservation. (One vehicle can be reserved for up to 8 people)
• Departure times may vary depending on the timing of sunrise.
• Depending on weather and natural conditions, there may be cases where viewing is not possible.
• Reservations can be made throughout the year, but the best viewing times are April and October to December. Please note that even if you are unable to see the sea of clouds, there will be no alternatives or refunds, so please consider this before participating.
• Reservations are not required for infants under 2 years old who do not require a seat. However, there is a limit of one infant per adult.
• Depending on the number of applicants, the taxi may be split into two.
• There will be no tour conductor.
• You can choose the departure time between 6:00 AM and 6:30 AM. Please be careful not to make a mistake on the meeting time.
