Activity

Sadanao Mikami holds the title of Mukansa (master swordsmith)

At the workshop of Sadanao Mikami, a renowned Japanese swordsmith living in Kitahiroshima Town, visitors can observe the swordsmithing process and experience the beauty and history of Japanese swords.

Create a small original knife (paper knife)

Under the guidance of a master swordsmith, try your hand at forging with a mallet and polishing with a file! The small knife you create can be taken home as a souvenir after the experience.

Japanese sword appreciation and armor dressing experience

On day 3, you can participate in an armor-dressing experience at the Sengoku no Niwa History Museum and admire Japanese swords at Sadanao Mikami's workshop.

This is the only tour where you can experience making a small knife using tamahagane steel, the raw material of Japanese swords!

A 3-day swordsmithing experience where you can interact with a master swordsmith. An interpreter guide will also accompany you, ensuring a worry-free experience.
