Activity
Sadanao Mikami holds the title of Mukansa (master swordsmith)
At the workshop of Sadanao Mikami, a renowned Japanese swordsmith living in Kitahiroshima Town, visitors can observe the swordsmithing process and experience the beauty and history of Japanese swords.
Create a small original knife (paper knife)
Under the guidance of a master swordsmith, try your hand at forging with a mallet and polishing with a file! The small knife you create can be taken home as a souvenir after the experience.
Japanese sword appreciation and armor dressing experience
On day 3, you can participate in an armor-dressing experience at the Sengoku no Niwa History Museum and admire Japanese swords at Sadanao Mikami's workshop.
This is the only tour where you can experience making a small knife using tamahagane steel, the raw material of Japanese swords!
A 3-day swordsmithing experience where you can interact with a master swordsmith. An interpreter guide will also accompany you, ensuring a worry-free experience.

Meet-up & Reception
Please present the My Page reservation screen at the Hiroshima Station Information Center on the 2nd floor of the Shinkansen Exit of Hiroshima Station.
■ Day 1: Relocate to Hiroshima Kita Hotel by private car. *Please refer to the Notes section for details
On Day 1, you will observe the crafting of a small knife made from tamahagane steel and experience the Kenshibu (Japanese interpretive dance) performance
■ Day 2: Sadanao Mikami's workshop (small knife crafting)
At Sadanao Mikami's workshop, you will craft a small knife. Enjoy Japanese cuisine for dinner at Shikinoie Ayakura with master swordsmith Mikami.
■ Day 3: Sadanao Mikami's workshop (finishing touches to the small knife)
While swordsmith Mikami makes the final finishing touches on the small knife, you will have the opportunity to try on traditional samurai armor at the Sengoku no Niwa History Museum and admire the Japanese swords. Afterward, we will depart from Kitahiroshima Town.
Disband at 5:00 PM
The tour will disband at Hiroshima Station.

Notes
• For the safety of all participants, individuals who fall under any of the following categories are not eligible to participate in this plan. (In some cases, submission of a medical certificate may be required based on health condition and age.)
Individuals with high blood pressure, heart, spinal, or neck disorders, epilepsy, symptoms of hyperventilation, individuals who have consumed alcohol, pregnant individuals or those who may be pregnant, individuals taking medication, individuals with symptoms that may worsen due to participation, individuals deemed unsafe to participate by the organizer on the day of the event.
• Those 0-17 years old are not eligible to participate.
• The photos of the accommodation and meals are for illustrative purposes only. The actual content may vary depending on the season.
• Please note that the duration of each stage of the swordsmithing experience may vary slightly.
■ Regarding Belongings:
• For the swordsmithing experience, you will be using the tools and materials provided by us, so you do not need to bring anything.
• Please bring a change of clothes for your 2-night, 3-day stay (clothes that you don't mind getting dirty or with holes, and comfortable shoes to wear during the swordsmithing experience and armor dressing experience).
• In the winter, bring warm clothing and footwear, as well as gear for cold weather (gloves, scarf, hand warmers, etc.). Even in the summer, wear long sleeves to protect yourself from burns.
• Sparks may fly during the workshop, so we will provide you with work clothes, but please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty underneath. (avoid materials such as nylon and polyester that are highly flammable and prone to tearing)
