Immerse yourself in hot spring culture, which is deeply intertwined with the local community
It is commonplace for households in this area to have hot spring water coming out of their taps for bathing. Enjoy a unique experience made possible by this special water—cooking meals and even brewing tea with it.
Cooking experience using 98°C hot spring water
You can brew a cup of coffee with the hot spring water, or use it to boil eggs and make an egg sandwich.
Experience the therapeutic benefits of the geothermal sauna hall and foot bath, that makes use of the 98°C Arayu hot spring water
The geothermal sauna hall and foot bath are perfect examples of SDG-friendly facilities.
Learn about the history of sake brewing, which has produced many toji (master brewers) throughout Japan
This area is famous for Tajima Toji, which is explained in detail at the Toji Museum.
A local guide, along with an assistant who speaks English and Chinese, will show you around the hot spring town of Yumura Onsen!
Your guide is a local resident who knows all about the area's hot spring.

Arrival procedures
An English- or Chinese-speaking guide will welcome you. Present the My Page reservation screen upon arrival.
The guide will introduce Yumura Onsen and take you to all the must-see spots
As you learn about the relationship between the hot spring and the residents, you will visit the Arayu hot spring, the foot bath, the geothermal sauna hall, and the Toji Museum
Experience cooking with geothermal heat
Make an egg sandwich with eggs boiled in hot spring water, and enjoy it together with hot spring coffee
Enjoy a foot bath, the quintessential Yumura Onsen experience!
Relieve your travel fatigue by soaking your feet in the hot spring water. A tenugui towel is provided for each participant.
