In Toyooka City, the last area where wild Oriental white storks were seen before becoming extinct, visitors can explore a facility dedicated to rehabilitating animal species for release back into the wild, and search for the storks in their natural habitat.

Schedule
9:30am: Arrival Procedures / Meet your guide at Kinosaki Onsen Station, then take the JR train to Genbudo Station *Your guide will be waiting for you with a sign
Meet your guide at Kinosaki Onsen Station, then take the train to Genbudo Station. Show the reservation page from your My Page upon arrival.
10:05am: Cross the Maruyama River by boat
Take a boat from the Genbudo exit to the Genbudo area on the opposite side of the river. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Maruyama River during the trip.
Visit Genbudo Park
Explore Genbudo Park and Seiryudo, guided by an English-speaking interpreter. Take in the mysterious scenery of the basalt rocks, which have been designated a National Natural Monument.
11:30am: Lunchtime
Enjoy an eco-conscious lunch at a riverside restaurant that serves stork-nurtured rice and locally grown organic vegetables. Relax while gazing at the Maruyama River.
Visit a museum dedicated to the Oriental white stork, and observe wild storks
• After watching a film about the efforts to return storks to the wild at the Museum of the Oriental White Stork, you will have the opportunity to observe the stalks in real-life.
