Experience the white rabbit myth in Usagi no Machi (Rabbit Town)
In addition to the White Rabbit of Inaba myth, there's another place in Tottori linked to a white rabbit legend—Yazu Town. According to this local myth, the White Rabbit of Yazu guided Amaterasu, one of the most important deities in Japanese mythology, when she descended to earth. This white rabbit is revered as a deity in the Yazu area.
Uncover this White Rabbit legend with your expert guide at Usagi Terrace—a charming small museum dedicated to the myth!
Have fun learning about local history and the white rabbit myth at Usagi Terrace, a small museum with a cute rabbit motif! You can even dive into the legend yourself and make your own Usagi Musubi decoration, and take photos at many of the legend-inspired spots, including the rabbit chair!
Make your own traditional Mizuhiki knot in this private workshop!
The town created its own Usagi Musubi Mizuhiki knot in commemoration for the year of the rabbit (2023). Beginners can enjoy this hands-on experience under the instruction of a master of the craft.

Create two chopstick cases made with the Usagi Muzubi knots in just an hour! Learn from this experience and try your hand at making them at home too! (Two chopstick case making kits will be provided as part of the experience)
