Tour a traditional sake brewery with over 130 years of history!
At Tanaka Sake Brewery, where sake is still handcrafted with care using traditional methods, you'll get to see rare equipment like the fune—a sake press that's now a rarity.
Sample regional sake from Mimasaka Province!
Enjoy the local sake of Mimasaka, Okayama—blessed with a cold climate from the Chugoku Mountains, pure underground spring water, and high-quality rice.
Take a walk through a historic post town that still retains the atmosphere of the past!
Ohara-juku on the old Inaba-Kaido Road is known for its striking white stone-paved streets. The townscape, where remnants of the Honjin (primary inn) and Waki-honjin (sub-inn) still remain, is picturesque just by walking through it.

Arrival procedures
An English guide will be waiting at the station. You will be guided around Ohara-juku before heading to Tanaka Sake Brewery. Show the reservation page from your My Page upon arrival.
Sake brewery tour (about 40 minutes)
Brewery staff will guide you through the sake brewery while explaining the sake-making process.
Sake tasting (about 15 minutes)
Enjoy sampling sake made right at the brewery. Purchases are available for an additional fee.
City walk
Walk around Ohara-juku with an English-speaking guide, and finish the tour at Ohara Station.
