Oshima Tsumugi, a traditional craft representing Kagoshima Prefecture
Oshima Tsumugi was traditionally worn as a private kimono by the Shimazu family during the Edo period (1603-1868), and later made to be presented as gifts. Please enjoy the evolved, modern version of Oshima Tsumugi.
Try on a carefully selected Oshima Tsumugi from a long-established weaving company founded in 1930, and enjoy an in-depth explanation of the Oshima Tsumugi craft
This is a unique experience where you can hear insider stories about Oshima Tsumugi from the third-generation weaver who also served as the chairman of the Honba Oshima-Tsumugi Orimono Cooperative Society.
This is a special experience where you can freely stroll around the city of Kagoshima while wearing authentic Oshima Tsumugi.
You can easily enjoy the local atmosphere and charm of the city by walking from the quiet area around the workshop to Tenmonkan, Kagoshima's largest shopping district, or by riding the charming streetcar.

4:00 PM: Arrival procedures at Pongee on the first floor of Tenmonkan Maruya Gardens

Expert staff will take your preferences into account and offer personalized recommendations.
Around 5:00 PM: Rickshaw tour (shopping, sightseeing, and commemorative photos)
Depending on the season, the rickshaw tour will start before sunset, around twilight.
Dinner (only available with the 150-minute plan)
Enjoy Wagyu beef cooked on a teppanyaki grill.
End at 5:30 PM (90-minute plan) / End at 7:30 PM (150-minute plan)
You will return to the store by the scheduled end time. After changing, the experience will conclude.
