Activity
Enjoy a torafugu course meal and the Senteisai Festival (memorial ceremony for late Emperor Antoku,) where kids can try on traditional attire
Savor a full-course torafugu (tiger pufferfish) meal, a local specialty of Shimonoseki, at a long-established fugu (pufferfish) restaurant with over 75 years of history. The meal is served in a traditional Japanese-style building, over 90 years old, where you can also enjoy views of the garden.
Savor traditional fugu sashimi
The dish is served as a "botan-mori" (peony platter,) with the sashimi arranged to resemble a blooming flower—truly a work of art. This is the only restaurant where you can experience this type of presentation, along with traditional techniques passed down through generations, including other styles of arrangements such as the "tsuru-mori" (crane platter) and "kujaku-mori" (peacock platter.)

The restaurant's proprietress, who has been trained in traditional Japanese dance since childhood and has performed as a Tayu in the Senteisai Festival, will personally teach you movements such as the unique soto-hachimonji walk.
