Activity
Admire the beauty of the scattered islets in the Seto Inland Sea. Osakikamijima preserves its traditional island life and untouched scenery.
Take a bicycle from Takehara, board the ferry, and head to the small island of Osakikamijima, floating in the Seto Inland Sea
Discover a century-old tradition at Okamoto Soy Sauce Brewery, where you can see 100-year-old wooden barrels and enjoy the rare experience of stirring and tasting the moromi (soy sauce mash).
At Hotel Seifukan, enjoy a lunch made with local ingredients, stunning views of the Seto Inland Sea, and a relaxing day-trip bath.
On the beach, embrace the serene stillness of the Seto Inland Sea as an island elder (Shima-jii) shares stories of the island’s history, culture, and townscape, letting you soak in the laid-back island atmosphere.

Cycle around the island, and take in the scenic views of the Seto Inland Sea's many islands
• 10:50am-11:30am: Visit Okamoto Soy Sauce Brewery (with guide) – Learn about the island’s 100-year-old tradition and the soy sauce production process. Experience the moromi (soy sauce mash) and stirring. • 11:40am-12:10pm: Visit Omochizukitei (with guide) – Explore Omochizukitei, a building that symbolizes the island's history, which prospered through the shipping industry during the days of waiting for tides and calm seas on Osakikamijima. • 12:10pm: Depart for Hotel Seifukan • 12:40pm: Arrive at Hotel Seifukan • 12:45pm-2:30pm: Lunch & day-trip hot spring: Enjoy a meal made with local ingredients and an incredible open-air bath with a view overlooking the Seto Inland Sea!
