The defining characteristic of Miyoshi's cormorant fishing is its side-by-side cruising, offering an impressive experience where you can witness the cormorants snatching sweetfish.
Witness the artistry of a cormorant fisherman maneuvering Japan's longest tether
The tether used in Miyoshi's cormorant fishing is approximately 7 meters long— the longest in Japan. This requires the highly advanced techniques of the cormorant fisherman to maneuver the boat, and their skillful handling of the cormorants is also a key highlight.
The first use of LED lights in cormorant fishing!
A first in Japan! The cormorant fishing boat is equipped with eco-friendly LED lights for the fishing process. This innovation was proposed by a local cormorant master.

Arrival procedures
Please complete arrival procedures between 6:30pm-7:00pm. Show the reservation page from your My Page upon arrival.
Nighttime sightseeing cruise
7:00pm: Take your time to fully appreciate the stunning Miyoshi River while enjoying your food and drinks.
Cormorant fishermen's talk
7:30pm: Enjoy a talk by the cormorant expert on the history and traditions of Miyoshi cormorant fishing, in Japanese.
Cormorant fishing tour
7:45pm: The iconic summer event in Miyoshi, Miyoshi's Cormorant Fishing, has started. Please enjoy the beautiful scenery from the sightseeing boats that move along the river with the cormorant boats.
End of the activity
After disembarking at 8:30pm, you can see the day's catch and enjoy chatting with the cormorant fishermen.

• Preschool children may participate if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Children aged 0-5 who do not require a seat on the boat may participate free of charge. However, children aged 0-5 who require a seat must purchase a boarding ticket. *Dinner (with bento and tea) is not provided.
• If you are late for the meeting time without prior notice, your reservation will be cancelled.
• Food and beverages, including alcohol, may be brought in freely. *However, if you are deemed to be causing inconvenience to other passengers, you will be asked to disembark.
• Since this activity will conclude late in the evening, we recommend booking nearby accommodations to ensure a comfortable stay.
• The boat has a roof, but we recommend bringing a raincoat in case of changing weather conditions.
•You are free to take photos during this activity.

The experience may be canceled for safety reasons due to inclement weather, natural disasters, or other various circumstances. In such cases, WAmazing Play's customer support or the organizer will contact the emergency details provided. Please be sure to check your e-mail or incoming calls on the day. (Notifications are typically sent after 12:00pm on the day.)
