[Towing Hang Glider] Enjoy a Safe Flight Experience With a View of Mt. Fuji! - Yamanashi

• The weight limit is 90kg or less (if flying with a child, the combined weight must be 90kg or less).
• One adult and one child (ages 0-3) can ride together for the price of one adult (infants are also allowed).
• Please arrive with plenty of time as everything depends on the wind conditions on the day.
• Reception opens two hours before sunset, and varies according to the season.
• Flights are available year-round, even in winter, with snow accumulation of up to 5cm (this is when the scenery is most beautiful).
• Minors must have parental consent to participate. The consent form is available here

• You cannot fly if you have consumed alcohol or are under the influence of alcohol.
• While insurance is available for hang gliding, each individual must arrange their own coverage with insurance companies.
• Please note that flights may be canceled at the last minute due to weather conditions, etc.
• The reservation time determines the order of flights on the day and does not guarantee a specific time for your flight.
• Paying the fees does not guarantee the duration or content of the flight.
• Please note that there is a certain level of risk involved in flying, and participation is entirely at your own responsibility. (Since its establishment in 1998, there have been no injuries or accidents during trial flights)
• Flying alone carries risks similar to other sports.
• Participants who feel strong anxiety or are opposed by family or work should refrain from participating.
• Flights are conducted one person at a time in rotation, so the time required until completion will depend on the number of participants and the flight duration on the day. Please note that multiple people cannot fly simultaneously.

[Pledge]
• Although our staff will take all reasonable safety precautions during the flight, please note that, as with any sport, there is no guarantee that accidents will not result in serious injury or death. Those who cannot agree to this cannot participate.
• Flying is not mandatory, so if you feel extreme anxiety or fear right before the flight, please do not hesitate to inform us.
• You must sign a flight participation pledge before the flight.
• Since this sport is greatly affected by weather conditions, whether the flight can proceed as scheduled or if it can happen at all depends on the circumstances at that time. If we determine any level of danger, we may partially or completely cancel the flight. Please note that we do not provide compensation for travel expenses or other damages resulting from flight cancellation.

[Cancellation policy]
• If the wind conditions are unfavorable, causing long waiting times and leading to cancellation in favor of other plans after the flight, a 100% cancellation fee will be charged.
• If cancellation is determined in advance, Hang-Gliding School Oshino Sky Sports Club will contact you by phone by 7:00 PM the day before.
• Even if the flight is canceled due to weather conditions on the day of the activity, no compensation will be provided for travel expenses or time loss. Please understand that outdoor sports entail such risks before participating.
• We may cancel tours to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
• Please refrain from participating if you have a slight fever, cough, sneezing, or any other symptoms on the day of the activity.
• Except in cases where travel restrictions are imposed by Yamanashi Prefecture or the customer's local government, cancellations due to concerns about COVID-19 infection will be considered at the customer's discretion, and cancellation fees will apply.
• If flight conditions are predicted to be impossible according to weather forecasts, we will inform you by the day before, but the actual situation may not be clear until the day of the flight. Sometimes, even with a forecast of rain, flights may be possible on the day.
• If there is a sudden change in weather conditions deemed dangerous, even if flying is already in progress on the day, it may be partially or completely canceled. Flying will be canceled in case of northwesterly to northeasterly winds, strong winds of 5m/sec or more, fog, rain, snow, thunder, or snow accumulation of 5cm or more.
• The optional BBQ cannot be ordered, changed in number, or canceled on the day of the activity. (Even if the weather changes suddenly on the day, it cannot be canceled. BBQ can be done under a tent).

We recommend that everyone comes in their own vehicle if possible.

Take the Yamanakako-Oshino Interchange on the Higashifuji-goko Road

At the second junction, turn left at the Hana no Miyako Park traffic light
↓
Turn left at the dead end after about 2.5km, turn right at the corner of the fire brigade after 100 meters, and continue straight for 900 meters
↓
The Oshino Sky Sports Club is located on the right side of the gravel road about 200 meters ahead at the fork

Due to the long distance and the absence of reception or dedicated staff for pick-up, during peak hours, we may not be able to provide pick-up until the end of the flight, resulting in a considerable wait time.
*Pick-up is available for up to 6 people. If the number exceeds this limit, please walk from the Uchino bus stop (approximately 10 minutes) or take a taxi.
