Activity

A private space limited to one group per day

Reservations are for only one group per one building, so you enjoy a private and relaxing atmosphere. (There are a total of three other facilities on the property, including glamping and camping.)

Experience the Japanese countryside in an old kominka house with an engawa porch

You can enjoy BBQ, fireworks, and bonfires while relaxing on the traditional "engawa" porch, looking at the trees in the wilderness, listening to the sounds of insects and birds and the wind blowing through the trees. In winter, you can enjoy a warm hot pot in your room.

This 150-year-old kominka house is a great place to stay for large with even multiple families.

The room can be divided into three rooms using the fusuma sliding doors, so it can be used by groups of men and women or separate families. The bathrooms are nicely rennovated.

A private bath with a view is available in a separate building.

A bath with a gorgeous view is located about 100 meters away. (Glamping guests also take turns using the baths).

A secluded sauna is available.

A private sauna with a view is local about 100 meters. (Glamping facility guests also take turns using the sauna).

  • You can relax in the bath when you arrive.

    The bath with a view is in a separate building, so you can decide when you would like to use it upon your arrival. (You will take turns with the glamping guests).

  • Dinner

    We will prepare a BBQ on the engawa porch of the house. Our staff will do everything from lighting the grill to serving the food. We will ask you when you would like to have dinner upon your arrival. Even if it rains heavily, we have an indoor BBQ area, so you can still enjoy your meal. If you choose the hot pot course, we will bring your meal to your room.

  • You can spend a relaxing time in your room.

    Families can sleep side by side on futons in the hall. Mosquito nets are also available which you can use together with mosquito repellent incense coils, so you can enjoy the countryside experience fully.

  • 8:00AM breakfast, 10:00AM check-out

    Breakfast will be served in your room from 8:00AM. You can also use the bath with a view. At 10:00AM, you will check out from your room.

After 6:00PM, there is no lighting on the mountain paths, so we recommend that you check in before sunset.
In winter, it gets dark around 5:00PM and it is difficult to see the mountain paths, so please bring a flashlight if you plan to come late. We recommend a headlamp to keep both hands free.

[Access]
■By car
From Shinjuku-Akiruno Interchange (Metropolitan Expressway No. 4 Shinjuku Line, Chuo Expressway, Hachioji Junction, Metropolitan Chuo Kaido Expressway) 60 min.
(In winter, it is recommended to drive with studless tires as the road surface may be icy.)
From Musashi-Itsukaichi Station, go straight on Hinohara-kaido Road in the direction of Juriki. Turn right at the Jurigi intersection and follow the road. About 20 min.
As the facility is located in the mountains, please set your address to "737 Yozawa, Akiruno-shi, Tokyo" to arrive right in front of the parking lot and the entrance to the mountain road.

■By train
Take the bus bound for Kamiyozawa from bus terminal 1 in front of JR Musashi-Itsukaichi Station, the nearest station, and get off at Kamiya bus stop. Aproximately 23 min. As buses are infrequent, we will give you the contact information of a local taxi company just in case.
Nishi-Tokyo Bus, bound for Kamiyozawa, get off at Kamiya bus stop.

*You will need to climb a mountain for 20-30 minutes to reach the facility. The mountain path is well-maintained, but there is no lighting, so we recommend checking in before sunset. There is also a well-maintained "komorebi" course on the mountain path, so please follow the arrows and take your time to enjoy nature that you might not normally get to experience. Please note that you cannot pull a suitcase with wheels on the mountain path.
