Enjoy snowshoeing in a winter wonderland!
A snowshoeing tour around Lake Shikotsu, Japan's northernmost ice-free lake near Sapporo. The walking trails along the lake's waterfront can only be experienced in winter. A great place for your first snowshoeing experience.
On a clear day, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains surrounding Lake Shikotsu.
Enjoy lunch with a spectacular view!
After enjoying the snow, have lunch at a prime location overlooking Lake Shikotsu. Enjoy stunning views all to yourself!
Snowshoeing gear can be rented free of charge!
Snowshoes and poles can be rented free of charge.
Small group tours with supportive guides!

Transfer to the trailhead
After registration at the meeting place, transfer by guided vehicle to the trailhead. (90 mins)
Preparation for entering the mountain
Short lecture and preparation before entering the mountain.
Begin snowshoeing
Snowshoeing and walking along the waterfront of Lake Shikotsu. (150 mins)
Lunch time at a spectacular spot on the way.
End of the tour
After descending, you will be transported to Sapporo Station. (90 mins)
