Daigo Town, famous for its beautifying hot springs, is also the birthplace of konjac. Partake in the mysterious art of making towels and sponges, known for leaving the skin smooth without soap, thanks to the technique of frozen konjac!
You can experience the basic process of making konjac!
You can listen to explanations about konjac, a Japanese food culture, and taste exquisite konjac dishes. (*Lunch fee is charged separately).
A special opportunity to experience traditional Japanese culture!
Experience a special part of the process that you wouldn't normally be able to experience, such as mixing konjac powder and pouring it into a mold.
Schedule
Meet up, reception, transfer: Konjac Sekisho (store)
Please present the My Page reservation screen at the reception desk. After reception, you will be transferred to the manufacturing plant.
Start making konjac towels: Manufacturing plant
After learning about konjac, a Japanese food culture, participants will make konjac towels.
Lunch: Konjac Sekisho (store)
While waiting for the konjac to solidify, you can enjoy delicious konjac for lunch. (*Lunch fee is charged separately)
Progress check: Manufacturing plant
Remove the konjac from the hot water and take it out of the mold while it is still fresh.
End of activity / Dismissal
The drying and freezing process will be repeated at the plant for approximately 4 to 5 days. The finished product will be delivered at a later date.
