The view is really stunning, surrounded by tea fields as far as the eye can reach! Enjoy the view from the private "Observatory Terrace"!

The observation terrace will be transformed into a privagte terrace that is only available to our guests. You'll want to take a deep breath to relax and enjoy the infinite expanse of green.

The tea farmers will be your guide

While strolling around the tea fields, the tea farmers of Fujigochi Tea Plantation will explain the history of the tea plantation and the tea industry.

Gain an understanding of tea, the tea plantation and the tea businesses

Guests can discover more about the management of the large Fujigochi Tea Plantation and the current situation of the tea industry.

Try three different varieties of "Yamaguchi tea" grown in the tea fields while looking out onto the tea plantation

Tea will be brewed by the director of the Ube Green Tea Center, a tea processing plant, who will also describe the qualities of each tea. Please enjoy the tea's authentic flavor and aroma.

Enjoy sweets made with local ingredients

Original sweets produced using local ingredients will be offered during tea time.

  • Meet the representative of the tea farmers

    Currently, there are seven tea farmers. You will be given welcome tea from the Fujigochi Tea Plantation representative.

  • Walk in the tea plantation

    You will learn about the history, cultivation, and management of tea gardens from the tea farmers as you stroll around the tea fields.

  • Enjoy tasting the different "Yamaguchi Tea" varieties produced in the tea fields.

    On the observation terrace, you can try three varieties of tea: "ichiban-cha" (tea made from the first tea harvest of the season), "hojicha" (roasted green tea), and genmaicha (brown rice tea). The director of the tea processing facility will brew you some tea and walk guests through how to brew tea.
