    Arashiyama is known for its cherry blossoms and autumn leaves and is one of the most popular scenic spots in Kyoto. The centerpiece of Arashiyama is the Togetsukyo Bridge, which offers a spectacular view of Kyoto's natural beauty.

  • Tenryuji Temple, a beautiful World Heritage site with a stunning garden and amazing ceiling paintings, and the "Bamboo Grove Path", the symbol of Arashiyama.

    One of the symbols of Arashiyama is the path through the bamboo grove. The 400-meter-long bamboo grove, which is so tall that it conceals the sky, stretches from Nonomiya Shrine via the north side of Tenryuji Temple to the Okochi Sanso Garden. Arashiyama's "Tenryu-ji" Temple has been designated a World Heritage Site. The Sogenchi Pond Garden, designated as a national historic site and a special place of scenic beauty, is very popular for its beautiful views in autumn, attracting many visitors.

    Almost all of the Temple's grounds consist of a moss garden, and in early summer, when the fresh greenery is in full bloom, the depth of the greenery is breathtaking.

  • 11:40 AM - Daikaku-ji Temple, an old temple in Kyoto that has kept the appearance of an Imperial villa palace / 1 PM Dismissal at Kyoto Station

    As the temple used to be a Monzeki (Japanese Buddhist priests of aristocratic or imperial lineage) temple where a member of the imperial family served as chief priest, the buildings of the temple complex are elegant and refined in the style of an imperial palace. The entire temple grounds are designated as a historic site.
