Notes

●Tokyo Station
In October 2012, after five years of work, the Marunouchi Station Building was restored to its original red-brick form and reopened as Tokyo Station City with a variety of stores inside the station! The Tokyo Station Hotel inside the station building has been designated an Important Cultural Property.

●Imperial Palace Nijubashi Bridge
The bridge you cross when entering the Imperial Palace through the main gate after crossing the stone bridge over the main gate of the Imperial Palace (Nijubashimon) from the Imperial Palace Square. Although sometimes mistakenly referred to as the two bridges, the name derives from the fact that the bridge was a double structure with a bridge on top of a bridge.
The area around the Imperial Palace is a popular spot for overseas visitors, and while it is surrounded by a moat, the contrast with the big city of Marunouchi, with its skyscrapers on the other side, is quite mysterious. The 5-km outer perimeter of the Imperial Palace is also popular as a running course, with many Imperial Palace runners sweating it out. It is a spot where visitors can feel the history of Edo, which is connected to the present day.

●The National Diet Building
The National Diet Building, the center of Japanese politics, took 16 years to complete after construction began in 1920. The House of Representatives is on the left and the House of Councillors is on the right, surrounded by the Prime Minister's Office, the Prime Minister's official residence, and political party buildings.
Anyone can tour the building free of charge without prior reservation, and it is also popular as a social studies tour for adults.
Tours are approximately 60 minutes long, and the House of Councillors can be visited only on weekdays, while the House of Representatives can be visited on weekends too. (The House of Representatives has many stairs, so it is recommended for those with limited mobility to visit the House of Councillors.) The interior of the building is gorgeous, and you can tour the hall of the House of Representatives, which looks like an opera theater, and the Imperial Resting Chamber, where His Majesty the Emperor rests. It is well worth a visit!

●Tokyo Tower
A symbol of Tokyo that has been loved for over 50 years. Although its role as a radio tower has been taken over by the opening of the Tokyo Skytree, it still retains its popularity. From the observatory, which is open all year round, you can see a different view of Tokyo than the one from the Tokyo Skytree.
In March 2018, which marks the 60th anniversary of the tower's opening, the special observatory reopened as the Top Deck Tour, which requires reservations and offers a guided tour, allowing visitors to experience the history, present, and future of Tokyo and Tokyo Tower.
Admission: Main Deck: 1,200 yen/adult, Top Deck: 3,000 yen/adult (includes Main Deck admission)

●Tsukiji
In Tsukishima, you can enjoy the Tokyo delicacy Monjayaki, and in Tsukiji, you can enjoy sushi and seafood bowls made with fresh ingredients wholesaled at the market. The famous egg omelet is also recommended. Choose your favorite shop, and we can also make reservations for you!

●Tokyo Skytree
A new Tokyo landmark, both traditional and cutting-edge, opened in 2012. It is the tallest tower in the world at 634 meters, and is so impressive up close that it is hard to fit in a single picture!
The two popular observatories offer expansive views of the Kanto region, and on a clear day you can even see Mount Fuji in the distance.
Tokyo Solamachi, located at the base of the building, offers a wide variety of more than 300 stores, including restaurants, character stores, souvenir stores, and other shopping options. Don't miss the two types of illumination seen at night, "Iki" and "Miyabi", symbols of the downtown area.

●Asakusa
Asakusa, a major tourist attraction in Tokyo, attracts about 30 million visitors a year from Japan and abroad. Centering on Senso-ji Temple, the oldest temple in Tokyo, the symbolic Kaminarimon gate, and the Nakamise shopping arcade with about 90 stores, it is full of the atmosphere of a traditional downtown area. In recent years, the number of overseas tourists has been increasing, and the area is always crowded with people, giving it a festival-like feeling.
Visitors can also enjoy downtown food such as tempura and eel, which have long been loved by Edo locals, as well as sweets from the Nakamise area, such as Ningyo-yaki and Melonpan.
We also recommend visiting Hanayashiki, Japan's oldest amusement park with a Showa-era atmosphere, to enjoy its retro attractions!
