Activity

Experience four festivals: the Issaki Hoto Festival, Seihakusai Festival, Okuma Kabuto Festival, and Notojima Koda Fire Festival

At the Wakura Onsen Omatsuri Hall, visitors can experience what it is like to actually participate in a festival, using technology such as video screens and foot pads.

Experience the amazing festival atmosphere!

The museum's video screen shows footage of actual festivals, with powerful images of men shouting, the sound of traditional music, and a giant torch, allowing visitors to feel as if they too had entered the world of festivals.

Experience Nanao's traditions firsthand!

Symbols of each festival, designated as cultural assets, are on display, including the "Dekayama" floats of the Seihakusai Festival, the lanterns of the Issaki Hoto Festival, and the flag banners of the Okuma Kabuto Festival. Feel the power and history of the festivals.

Don't just see, but hear the festivals!

The free audio guide application explains the importance of festivals in Nanao and the attractions at festivals. Even if you do not understand Japanese, you can listen to the guide in English, simplified Chinese, or traditional Chinese.

Have an unforgettable travel experience!

The museum's store offers a wide variety of merchandise related to the festival, as well as products that combine the traditional crafts of the area with the local festivals. Why not pick something as a souvenir of your trip?
