Activity
See firsthand the exquisite methods used by the Monsho-uwaeshi, one of only seven artists in Kyoto, who draws family crests
The demonstrator, Mr. Tsubouchi, is a former Kyoto Emblem Craft Cooperative Association president and a skilled artisan. In the demonstration, you will observe the craftsmanship of drawing a family crest using only circles and lines. We will show you the entire process sequence from the preliminary sketch to the completion of the family crest.
Special use of valuable tools that only craftsmen can touch
Visitors can attempt to print their own family crests with the assistance of a Monsho-uwaeshi. There are various family crest patterns from which to select your favorite pattern. You are going to make the world's one and only Tenugui (hand towel).

Satisfy your appetite with the Wagyu beef set
Wagyu beef steak is our specialty and the special grilling technique maximizes the flavor of the meat. Please also try the simmered beef and tofu with yuzu pepper seasoning and the white miso-based Japanese stew with beef tendon.

Reception and filling out the pledge form
Please present your My Page reservation screen at the reception desk. You will be asked to fill out a pledge form for the workshop.
Demonstration by a Monsho-uwaeshi - experience of printing family crests
After observing a demonstration by Monsho-uwaeshi, you will start making a tenugui (hand towel) with a craftsman. You can choose your favorite design from a variety of family crests and experience the family crest printing.
Interaction & break (with desserts)
Take a break in between tasks. Enjoy locally produced baked goods and juice while interacting with the Monsho-uwaeshi.

Use the finished Teugui (hand towel) as a place mats and enjoy the speciality, wagyu beef steak set.

3-minute walk from Kitano Tenmangu Shrine.
From the Kitano Shiraume-cho intersection, walk east on Imadegawa-dori for 500 meters. Walk about 50 meters north of Yakitori Shin, and the restaurant will be on your right.
Precaution
-If you are more than 15 minutes late, your reservation may be considered a no-show, and there will be no refunds.
-Similar to reservation cancellations, any changes to the date or time made less than 2 days in advance will result in a 100% charge of the reservation fee.
-Smoking is strictly prohibited in the restaurant.
-There is no parking lot. Please use coin-operated parking lots nearby.
