About Osaka UKIYOE Museum

You can examine closely at the outstanding Ukiyoe prints that Japan is proud to present to the world. Many Ukiyoe prints from Osaka and Kyoto are on display in the museum, including works by renowned Ukiyoe artists Yoshitoshi Tsukioka and Katsushika Hokusai.

Take a closer look at the craftsmanship with a magnifying glass!

We offer free rental magnifying glasses. Ukiyoe prints are made with very advanced techniques. Please use the magnifying glass to appreciate them carefully. (Please note that the number of available magnifying glasses is limited and may not be available.)

5 minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station. The admission to the museum store is free of charge.

The shop offer a wide variety of items featuring Ukiyoe, including Ukiyoe prints printed in the Edo period, reprints of Ukiyoe, books on Ukiyoe, postcards, T-shirts, and furoshiki (wrapping cloth).
