Activity
Experience the Tomozuri fishing method of ayu (sweetfish) in the Takatsu River, the clearest river in Japan, which has been passed down since ancient times
Tomozuri is a method for catching Ayu (sweetfish) that only lives in clean rivers, and it takes advantage of the fish's tendency of ramming Ayu that have entered their territory.
A fishing expert will teach you the ecology of Ayu (sweetfish) and fishing tips
We will show you how to catch Ayu (sweetfish) in an easy-to-understand way with demonstrations and pictures provided by experts.
Freshly grilled natural Ayu (sweetfish) is exceptionally tasty!
You can enjoy Ayu (sweetfish) skewered on the riverside and grilled slowly over charcoal with salt!

Meet up in front of Masuda Station / Reception
Please present the My Page reservation screen at the reception desk.You will be transported by car. A car with a staff member will lead you to the location of the fishing activity. (If it is difficult for you to make your own arrangements, please request a pick-up service from the options menu.)
Change into fishing clothes and receive an explanation of the activity.
Please wear a life jacket, footwear and shades for safety (short pants are recommended for visitors).

- You will be driven from the meeting place to the activity location. Please make your own rental car or taxi arrangements.

- Fishing conditions depend on the weather and the time of year, so it is not always possible to catch Ayu (sweetfish). Even if you cannot it, you will be able to enjoy natural Ayu (sweetfish) prepared in advance.
- Please refrain from using fishing methods and gear other than the "Tomozuri" method described.
- Please follow the instructions of the staff during the activity. The river can suddenly become deep, so please do not enter the river without permission.
- There are no restrooms at the fishing locations. Please use the restroom before participating in the activity.

- The tour will be held rain or shine. *The tour may be cancelled due to rising water, muddy water, or strong winds.
