Activity

Learn about the history of Bishu and Mitsuboshi manufacturing from 130 years of historical documents

We will tell you about the history of Mitsuboshi Yarn in a tour format using exhibits that tell the story, including the looms that were used at the time.

Making coasters starts with choosing the fabric! Designers reveal key points when choosing fabrics

We will also introduce you to the business negotiation room where you can touch the many fabrics produced by Mitsuboshi Yarn. We will also be exhibiting fabrics used by famous brands, so please feel free to try them out.

A chance to see the impressive rapier loom up close!

The tour ends at Mitsuboshi Yarn's weaving factory, "Orista", where you can see the impressive rapier loom. This is an experiential event where you can experience the process that the craftsmen go through before setting the loom on the loom.

  • A guide to history road to learn Mitsuboshi sustainable management

    We will tour while looking at exhibits about the history of Bishu and Mitsuboshi.

  • Orista tour/coaster making experience

    You will tour a factory where the fabric is actually processed, experience the process before it is placed on the loom, and create coasters.

  • Factory store tour

    You can touch the actual products at our own brand "MITSUBOSHI 1887" factory store. It comes with a 5,000 yen coupon that can be used for purchases, so you can purchase souvenirs.
