Activity

Electric bicycles (e-bikes) are available as a new way to enjoy Yonaguni Island, where there are no cabs or buses.

Original MAP included. You can enjoy touring the islands at your own pace.

Electric bicycles (e-bikes) are available for rent at the Yonaguni Tourism Association in Sonai Village, Yonaguni Island. You can leave your baggage there!

Sonai is one of the three villages on Yonaguni Island and is the main village on the island, where the town hall and clinic are located.

Making Yonaha Traditional Tools with Fountain Palm (kuba) Leaves

Traditional crafts handed down from about 500 years ago are taught in the eaves of private homes in Sonai village on Yonaguni Island. Participants will learn how to use dried kuba leaves to make waterpumps and other tools for daily life while being guided by the locals.
