THE RAIL KITCHEN CHIKUGO

A sightseeing train operated by Nishitetsu that allows you to experience the local area.

From Fukuoka to Omuta - A trip to "Yanagawa" with seasonal beauty, and "Omuta," which retains its retro atmosphere.

In Yanagawa, a riverside district that flourished as a castle town, you lose track of time and enjoy going down the river by boat or taking a stroll along the river.
In Omuta, you can experience the charm of the good old days at Miyanohara Pit and Miike Port, both designated as World Heritage Sites. (*Please note that if you get off at Yanagawa Station, the ticket will be invalidated.)

We pride ourselves in our hot dishes made using seasonal ingredients from Kyushu.

The train is equipped with a brick oven and prides itself on offering freshly prepared, hot dishes.

  • If you wish to use the service on the day, please present your QR code voucher at the manual ticket gate at the north exit of Fukuoka Tenjin Station and enter the platform.

    Please be in front of platform 3 at least 20 minutes before train departure.

[Regarding Reservations]
- Children cannot participate alone. At least one adult (11 years or older) must accompany them.
- The minimum number of participants required is 10. If the number of participants falls below this minimum, we will notify you 7 days prior to the scheduled date and cancel the event. In the event of natural disasters, accidents, epidemics, or other unforeseen circumstances that make it difficult to carry out the trip, we may cancel it. In such cases, we will refund part or all of the travel fee.
- Children's Fees
Children's fees vary depending on the menu provided. Please confirm your child's age and select the desired menu when making a reservation.
- Same menu as adults: JPY 11,800 (11 years and older)
- Children's menu: JPY 6,000 (3-10 years old)
- Infants: Free (2 years old and under, no meal or seat provided). If you wish to have a meal and seat for your infant, please select the children's menu for JPY 6,000.

- All seats on the train are designated seats.
- The seating is assigned by the operating company and cannot be chosen.
- Smoking is prohibited in all train cars, and there are no smoking areas on board.
- Alcoholic beverages (beer, sake, shochu, wine, whiskey, alcoholic fruit punch) and non-alcoholic drinks are available on board. Please inquire with the staff on the day for more details.
Any drinks not included in the fare (excluding welcome drinks and after-dinner drinks) will be settled on board.
Drink charges can be paid in cash, credit card, transportation IC card, or PAYPAY.
Please refrain from bringing your own drinks or meals on board.
- Due to limited space on board, there is not enough room to store strollers or large luggage. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation in not bringing large carry-on items that cannot be kept with you.
- If you are bringing a wheelchair, please inform us of the dimensions in advance.
- If you wish to change your seating position by reclining the backrest, please inform us in advance.
- Cabin 1 has a multipurpose toilet, and Cabin 3 has a unisex toilet.
