Schedule

  • Meet-Up & Reception

    Please present your My Page reservation screen at the reception desk.

  • Welcome drinks will be served

  • Choose and wear your favorite "Easy to wear Kimono"

    Before the lecture begins, you will be provided with an easy-to-wear kimono of your choice.

  • Lecture on the history of Chanoyu (Teaism) and Sado (tea ceremony), as well as the differences between matcha and other types of tea

    During the lecture, you will learn about the differences between green tea, black tea, Chinese tea, etc., as well as the important philosophies of Chanoyu (Teaism) and Sado (tea ceremony).

  • Prepare matcha using traditional tea utensils

    Learn to prepare matcha using a tea whisk and a tea bowl. Matcha is available in several varieties from different regions across Japan, each suited for different seasons.

• This experience takes place in a tatami-matted room, but you don't have to sit in the seiza (kneeling) position.
