Activity
Experience the world of traditional culture at seven different venues!
A total of over 20 activities will be held at various venues, including experiences with portable shrines, Bon Odori dance festivals, performances by the Mito Taiko drummers, as well as demonstrations of flower arrangement and calligraphy.
Experience kimono rental and dressing empty-handed!
Choose your favorite kimono and experience the art of kimono dressing. You can then enjoy the traditional festival in your kimono. We will also take care of any items you bring with you during the event (except valuables).
Guinness World Record attempt
We're aiming for a Guinness World Record! Everyone dressed in a kimono will pose while holding lanterns. We're aiming for the largest number of people simultaneously pointing upwards! Photos and drone footage will be taken. Don't miss out!
Kimono and yukata are also available for sale!
You can purchase yukata or kimono sets. They make great souvenirs from Japan.

9:00 AM: Reception at the pedestrian deck of the North Exit of Mito Station
Please present the My Page reservation screen upon reception.
Kimono selection and dressing experience
Change into your kimono and head to the traditional festival! You will have free time to explore. (We will take care of your luggage.)
11:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Meet up at the South Exit of Mito Station for the Guinness World Record challenge
Pose in your kimono! Join us in the Guinness World Record challenge.
1:00 PM - 6:50 PM: Freely participate in the activities
Please enjoy your favorite activities at each venue. *Please note that some activities require advance reservations. Check the Notes section for details.
7:00 PM: End of the event / Disband
Please return the rented kimono by 7:00 PM.
