A large garden created during the Edo period, 200 years ago.
You can see the garden and buildings, which were created 200 years ago, preserved in their original condition.
Enjoy the contrast between the Chinese-style garden, which was a place of admiration at the time, and the Japanese-style garden.
Enjoy the transition between the straight-lined embankment of the Chinese-style garden and the curved mountain ridges and the embankments of the Japanese-style garden.
A scenery woven by approximately 1,100 pine trees of various sizes.
Pine trees are considered the "king of trees" and are particularly beloved by garden designers. Their majestic branching is truly impressive.
A garden by the sea that incorporates the scenery of the mountains.
A garden built by the sea that does not incorporate the view of the ocean but instead incorporates the scenery of the mountains.
However, the pond reflects the characteristics of the seaside and is filled with seawater.
The only remaining structure of the Kishu Tokugawa family from the Edo period.
This is the sole surviving garden from the Kishu Tokugawa family, preserved in its original state.

Meet up & Reception
Please present the My Page reservation screen at the reception desk of Yosuien Garden (Office). Provide the number of people and the name of the person who made the reservation.
Stroll through the garden following the red arrows inside the garden.
The red arrows indicate the route and are displayed at garden junctions. The brochure provided upon entry also includes a map and a garden path diagram.
After arriving at Minato Goten, take a tour inside the palace.
Inside the palace, you can listen to an explanation from the staff (available in Japanese only).
After exiting the palace, there are restrooms and an exit.
