Activity

Visit a place linked to a white rabbit myth!

In addition to the White Rabbit of Inaba myth, there's another place in Tottori linked to a white rabbit legend—Yazu Town. According to this local myth, the White Rabbit of Yazu guided Amaterasu, one of the most important deities in Japanese mythology, when she descended to earth. This white rabbit is revered as a deity in the Yazu area.

See the many rabbit spots!

Rabbits are everywhere, with statues at Hakuto Shrine and Naritasan Seiryuji Temple, at the Usagi Terrace (rabbit terrace), and even for purchase in the form of omikuji fortunes and other goods!

Enjoy this private tour!

Enjoy a guided tour of the Kawanobe no Michi walking trail specifically designed around this white rabbit myth. You will even have the opportunity to hear the story from the head priest themselves! Set your own pace on this private tour and take in the stunning views along the way.

Purchase White Rabbit goshuin stamps! (*not included in the experience fee)

Add the special White Rabbit goshuin—available only at two sacred spots—to your collection!

Feel at ease with your dedicated English/Chinese-speaking guide!

Feel free to enjoy the experience and leave the interpreting in the hands of your very own dedicated English- or Chinese-speaking guide. Learn from the local priests about the legends, history, local life and more!
