Activity
Interact directly with the 4th and 5th generation lantern craftsmen of a century-old lantern shop.
The lantern you create in this experience is the same as those used in the Hakata Gion Yamakasa, a traditional Shinto ritual held at Kushida Shrine near the shop, a practice that has been passed down for nearly 800 years.
In the painting experience, professional craftsmen will guide you as you create your own original design.
The lantern can be displayed upright and features a foldable design, making it easy to take home.
