Enjoy this experience at the long-standing ryotei, Sakana-an Senjojiki

Find the essence of Japanese tradition preserved in Sakana-an Senjojiki, a ryotei (high-end Japanese restaurant) with a long history. Go beyond the typical tourist experience as you encounter the "true spirit of Japan" in a space overlooking a beautifully maintained courtyard that perfectly embodies Japanese aesthetics.

Receive a special welcome with taiko drums and waitress dressed in traditional kimono

You can be sure of a truly special experience from the moment you arrive, as you are greeted by the sound of taiko drums. You will be met by a kimono-clad waitress, creating a uniquely Japanese atmosphere.

Learn to make authentic sushi, taught by a master chef

The master chef demonstrates the correct techniques right before your eyes, guiding you step by step. You will begin working with practice sushi models, making it easy even for beginners and international guests to join. It is a rare chance to experience Japanese food culture hands-on.

Premium dining experience featuring fresh seafood from Kitakyushu

Kitakyushu, bordered by the Genkai Sea, is a treasure trove of seafood, and the sushi that you make will feature fresh, locally caught fish. After the experience, you will also enjoy a meal with special dishes unique to the restaurant.

Take home a commemorative photo and a special souvenir to remember your trip

Take a commemorative photo of your beautifully arranged sushi, printed on the spot. Take home Sakana-an Senjojiki branded chopsticks as a lasting souvenir of your experience.
