Master-Led Experience/The Soul of Japan (Noh Theater)/Scenic Exploration:

Master-Led Experiences: This isn't just a sightseeing tour; it's a hands-on journey. From Authentic Sushi Making to Traditional Lantern Painting, guests learn directly from local artisans.

The Soul of Japan (Noh Theater): A rare opportunity to step inside the Morimoto Noh Stage. This segment offers a deep dive into "Noh," Japan’s oldest performing art, which is a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Scenic Exploration: Guided walks through Ohori Park and the Fukuoka Castle Ruins provide a refreshing balance of natural beauty and historical context, led by professional guides.

Sushi-Making Experience at Sushi Sanyo

Explanation Session (30 mins): Dive into the rich background of sushi. You will learn about its history and culture, the fresh seafood of Northern Kyushu, and the fascinating regional differences in soy sauce.

Practical Session (60 mins): Experience the entire sushi-making process firsthand while observing a live demonstration by a professional chef. From preparing the shari (sushi rice) and slicing the fish to shaping the nigiri, this is a true highlight of the program that offers you the chance to learn expert techniques up close.

Tasting Session (30 mins): Taste and compare your own handmade sushi with pieces crafted by the chef to experience the difference in technique. The workshop concludes with a special souvenir and a certificate of completion to take home.

Chochin Lantern Painting

Experience traditional Japanese lantern painting at Kadota Lantern Shop, located right next to Nakasu-Kawabata Station in the heart of Fukuoka. Under the guidance of skilled artisans, you will paint your own original design on a prepared white paper lantern with brushes and colors. This hands-on workshop welcomes participants of all ages, from children to adults. After painting, your finished lantern will be packed in a special box for you to take home as a unique souvenir.

Fukuoka Yatai (Food Stall) &Japanese Mother’s Cooking Class

Experience Fukuoka's iconic evening culture at a traditional Yatai (food stall)! Enjoy a special "mini-tasting" exclusive to our tour. If you love the cozy vibe, you can continue Yatai-hopping!
Sample Menu: Half-size chewy Gyoza, Half-size Chef's pick, Half-size Tonkotsu Ramen, & 1 drink.

Experience authentic Japanese home cooking in Fukuoka with a welcoming local mother in this hands-on, 3-hour class. You will learn about fresh local produce and traditional Japanese cooking staples. Step into a cozy home kitchen, where you will prepare a range of classic washoku (traditional Japanese) dishes under the personalized guidance of your host.

Noh Experience

Uncover the 650-year history of Noh, Japan’s iconic traditional theater from the Muromachi period. Led by Master Tetsuro Morimoto—a designated Preserver of Important Intangible Cultural Property of the prestigious Kanze School—this lesson offers a unique journey to hear its stories, watch its grace, and finally step onto the stage to experience its sacred etiquette firsthand.

  • Day 1 Afternoon: Historical Exploration & Fukuoka Cuisine

    3:50pm Meet with Local Guide at Ohori Park Station (Ticket Gate)
    Guided walking tour starts at 4pm (duration: 3 hours)

    Total distance: 3.5 km, approximately 60 minutes
    Stops: Ohori Park (30 minutes), Fukuoka Castle Ruins (30 minutes), Noda Coffee (60 minutes)
    In Fukuoka, there are lots of nice coffee shops that have been popular for a long time.
    We will visit one of them and have a break with a cup of tasty coffee.
    You can also order other drink like tea.

    7:00pm Fukuoka Famous
    Enjoy the food stalls. A trial set will be provided (duration: 60 minutes)

    8:00pm Day. 1 Finish / Disband on site
    * Hopping around to other Yatai might be fun too.

  • Day 2: Hakata Old Town & Noh Theater Experience

    8:20am Meet with Local Guide at Fukuoka City Tourist Information Center (Hakata Station)
    Guided walking tour starts at 8:30am. (duration 2 hours)

    10:30The guided tour will conclude at the ticket gates of Kushidajinja-mae Station.

    Afterwards, please make your own way to Befu Station on the Nanakuma Line.
    The ride takes approximately 13 minutes (stopping at 7 stations).

    Japanese Mother’s Cooking Class Experience (duration: 3 hours)
